1993 Hebgen Lake / West Yellowstone, MT | 30'x60' Shaded Historic USGS Map

This 1993 map covers the area directly west of Yellowstone National park. Although nothing on this map is as famous as its neighbor, it is still full of great recreational opportunity. On this map are the towns of West Yellowstone, MT and Island Park, ID, many lakes including: Hebgen Lake, Quake Lake, Henry's Lake, Red Rock Lakes and reserve, and Cliff and Wade lakes, and multiple ranges including the Taylor Hilgards, Lionhead area / Henry's Lake mountains, Southern Gallatins, Gravellys and the Centennials.

We used recent digital elevation data combined with modern rendering techniques to enhance this hand selected, historic USGS map. Even though the map is two dimensional, the techniques applied make it come to life from the use of shading/lighting. 

Please Note: Reading the text on the map can sometimes be difficult depending on the size that is purchased, primarily because of the historic map's small font size, age and the condition of the map when it was scanned into digital format. In areas where relief shading obscure text, it can become illegible. To enhance readability, we recommend ordering a larger map size or a map that covers a smaller area, although the text may still be obscured in darker areas.
